The Ford Mustang is known for its muscle on and off the race track. Depending on the model, the Mustang's thunderous sounding engine horsepower of 310 and upwards, 350 lb-ft of torque, and 7 to 10-speed transmission enables it to get to desired speeds lightning-fast. However, its roar disrupts the early morning's tranquility.
Regulation
Ford lets drivers choose how and when to regulate their Mustang's engine's audio sound by installing an Active Performance Exhaust Audio Engineering System. We at Diffee Ford located in El Reno have an inventory line of 2021 Ford Mustangs with the built-in Active Performance Exhaust Audio Engineering System. The system has four audio control modes.
The Four Audio Control Modes
- Quiet: The Quiet Start mode has the lowest volume at 72-decibels.
- Normal: When adjusted to this mode, the decibel level is 82.
- Sport: Set the system to Sport when you need a little more roar.
- Track: This mode is the loudest, with an audio volume of 86-decibels.
For best practices, drivers can set the control modes at different times during the day. For instance, they can schedule the Quiet Start mode in the morning to avoid waking up their households and neighbors.
