The new Ford Expedition has a base engine, a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that routes power to the standard rear-wheel drive via a ten-speed automatic transmission system. The engine has a standard output of 380 horsepower and 470 pound-feet torque. Yukon drivers who need extra power can opt for the Timberline trim, which achieves 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque.

The Ford Expedition Timberline has a Michelin® Rough Road Suspension system, providing a balanced ride even on uneven surfaces. This system features special shock absorbers that make the SUV less bouncy and more responsive to bumps or dips in Tuttle, Oklahoma roads. The Trailer Sway Control system helps this vehicle tow heavy loads by monitoring trailer movement and automatically adjusting engine torque and brake pressure to keep the trailer stable.

The available four-wheel drive system has a terrain management system that helps to tailor the driving experience by adjusting the suspension and engine power for optimal performance in different terrain conditions. The Ford Expedition's third row has a 60/40 PowerFold® seat that can easily be adjusted to create extra cargo space. It also features a power recline and power-folding head restraints for added convenience. The Timberline trim level's interior comes with a unique ActiveX™ seating material seat material.

The second-row 40/20/40 split bench manual reclining fold-flat seat in the XL trim has a center slide system that allows you to slide the seat forward, creating extra legroom for third-row passengers. The power-adjustable driver seat has a memory function that remembers the driver's exact seat settings.

The second and third rows of the Ford Expedition have rear auxiliary climate controls so passengers can adjust their temperature. The entry system senses motion near the vehicle and activates the interior lights for a few seconds so you can enter or exit the SUV easily in low light.
